I didn’t count how many individuals had to be ejected during my remarks but there were many. Ironically, the standard complaint of the Muslim Students’ Association is that my ad “endangered” safety of Muslim students and should have been suppressed for that reason. In fact the conservative students who organized my event and were the chief opponents of the MSA, were mainly dressed in suits and ties and were exceptionally polite. They did not shout back or rant, as the MSA students and their progressive supporters did, nor had they torn down posters or ever obstructed speakers for MSA events.

Included in the attacks against our right to free speech was an anti-Semitic cartoon and libelous remarks on Horowitz's credibility.

I've lost what little respect I had for the MSA and their allies on campus. They show no ability to engage in a debate of the facts, and resort to hate speech and intimidation to squash any free speech that goes against their ideals. They were offered a public chance to denounce Islamo-Fascism, Hamas, the PLO, ect. and they did not take it. Tells you something does it not?

Full Article Here

Interesting Read

For all who wanted to know, Islamo-Facists still hate America and here is why

The problem for Muslims is not Christianity or Judaism. In fact, Islam sees itself as incorporating both in much the same way that Christianity sees itself as incorporating Judaism. Moses and Christ are considered prophets in Islam. If you read the propaganda of the radical Muslims, they almost never condemn the West for being a Christian society. They typically describe the West as an atheist and immoral society. Bin Laden has called America “the leading power of the pagans and unbelievers.”

I urge you all to read it, Dinesh D'Souza has what I think is the best interpretation on the conflict between Islam and the West

Full Story Here

This again?

People driving by the Army Recruiting Station on Milwaukee's east side are finding it boarded up with a vandal's message on the 5th anniversary of the Iraq War.

Vandals put graffiti saying "War Is Offensive" and broke windows at the facility on the 3100 block of North Oakland Avenue, near the UWM campus.

Officials there later boarded up the windows. A man who works in the area said he saw anti-war slogans written on the windows also.

This is not the first time the place has been vandalized.

Last year, on the same Iraq war anniversary, police arrested 21 people for an attack with smoke bombs while throwing paint at the facility.

Quoted From Newsradio 620 WTMJ

Once again the anti-american forces have managed to vandalize the army recruiting center on Oakland. Seeing as I am an American first and a Conservative second, I can not beleive what little respect some people have for our armed forces. If you do not support the war (why you don not is beyond my comprehension, but hey this is America), attack the politicians who are responsible. The Upstanding soldiers of the US millitary are following orders, they have no responsibilty for the war itself.

I am now committed more than ever to create a Millitary Outreach Group here on campus. This bullshit has gone on long enough and its time for us students who appreciate all that our brave men and women have done for us to show that we are a campus of support. Well its nice now to hear some truth

While about equal numbers of Americans believe U.S. troops should remain in Iraq (47 percent) as want troops withdrawn (49 percent), the shift in public opinion over the last year has been toward keeping troops there -- up 5 percent since February 2007 and 8 points since September 2007. And barely 14 percent favor Democratic candidate Sen. Barack Obama's position, removing all troops immediately.

More importantly, a rapidly growing number of Americans believe the military effort in Iraq is going well -- 48 percent compared with only 30 percent a year ago. And a majority now believes that the U.S. will succeed in Iraq, 53 percent compared with 42 percent last September.

Well isn't that a breath fo fresh air. It's by an embeded journalist who was out in a convoy and stopped because of an IED suspicion.

It's just kind of interesting to hear civilian perspectives on things like rooting around for IEDs and trying to detect and/or avoid them.

I remember when we were out doing tactical stuff during warrior week while I was in basic training, and we went through this wooded area and the cadres tested us to see whether or not we could spot the IEDs that were buried in the woods, some right next to the road, others with less visible trip wires that could snag just by brushing a tree branch the wrong way... it's a pretty intense experience to say the least.

We looked at IEDs and analyzed them and did all kinds of classroom work on them, but even when you've gone through all of that, you get out in the field, and you still can't see them. It's an incredible and very hallowing experience. I remember the worst one that they unburied for us when we picked it out (none of these were armed by the way!!!) was just a massive, massive shell. If I had my Airman's Manual with me I could tell you which class shell it was (I used to know but don't remember anymore) but it was gigantic. When the journalist references an IED that can do the work of a daisy-cutter... this was one of those shells.

But anyhow, just posted this because it's always interesting when civilians get a little bit of a glimpse of what my friends do for a living.

Now I'm feeling nostalgic for crawling around in the dirt with a rifle... darnit.

If your name sounds like you want to blow us up, I don't want you in my military...

When your last name CONTAINS JIHAAD

Just go home now, don't bother enlisting, I don't trust you, and for damn good reason...

We have stone age enlistment forms that still question whether or not there are ties to Soviet Russia, ties to other other organizations, whether you're gay or not, but nothing about ties to the middle east. The consultant told me that the company, "does not want to establish a specific list" but that my answers could be found within the utterly vague harassment policy.

"Above all, we just expect a professional work environment." is what she remarked, followed 5 minutes later by something along the lines of everyone needs to have a work environment where they are safe, content, and above all, "comfortable". She then asked me to try and keep in mind what the other person may be feeling. She sympathized my running into this issue, noting that she has run into it before and offended some people on her own, but to be cautious, because, "at that point, the company is liable to enforce policies and pursue an alleviation of the problem until the person that you have made un-comfortable is once again comfortable."

Gag me. I understand that I wouldn't want to sit through some lefty in the cube next to me advocating for abortion and gay marriage, but at the same time, I would hardly have gone about it in the way that this man did either.

I would have joined the discussion, proved them soundly wrong on their stances, and taken my seat. It has been analyzed by legal experts, criticized by the ACLU, and has pissed a lot of people off, because it was not well written by any means. The intent of the bill is admirable, and is the reason that I argued pro for it at our February 9th session. I voted in that sect of 10 senators who voted for its approval, because I do believe in the intent of this bill.

No one comes to the defense of the Student Association at UWM, and it is criticized more and more sharply every week by The (com)Post with absolutely no rebuttal coming from SA. President Grover said that the bill was "crazy" but then said that he believed that it was written, "with the best of intentions" as well.

I don't support censorship, and I would never advocate or issue a cease and desist order against The Post, but someone needs to get some objectivity into this waste of recycled paper. Just about every week there's another story about AJ on the front page (which is great for name-recognition) and I think this is like the third or fourth week straight that the conservatives on campus have been throwing The Post into a slanderous tizzy, but it's getting old the way that SA is misrepresented to the campus at large.

No wonder people are so apathetic, and refuse to get involved. Why would they want to get into something that just appears to piss everyone off?

“Anyone who doesn’t see there’s a problem with the Sedition Act shouldn’t be in government, or student government.”

"I think the minute after it passed people realized that it was a bad bill..."

"Color me Seditious..."

"The similarities to Nazi Germany are particularly interesting..."

"Despite being labeled as “insane” by Bahr and “ridiculous” by Grover, the SA Sedition Act passed in a 10-7 vote..."

Also under attack this week is member of the Conservative Women's Movement and frequent editorialist Amanda Moucha, for voicing her disdain of the contemporary feminist movement. Amanda is "Secretary" of the Conservative Women's Movement and will be my copy editor when we being publishing our periodical, and there is a good reason for that...

"You might want to think about leaving UWM..."

Johanan Raatz has written another revealing editorial on the horror that is abortion. I work for a pretty conservative company, which I won't name, because it's not really all that pertinent to this entry, but it is offensive to me that in that setting, which would protect free speech, I would be so violated this afternoon.

I was discussing some things today with a co-worker because we didn't have anything else to do. We talked about the Department of Education, and the Federal Income Tax, Barack Obama's lack of respect for the National Anthem, $14,000 toilet seats on battleships (or so you've heard lol), and a host of other issues. This woman is close to three times my age, and we come from very different perspectives, which is why the discussion was so engaging. She lived in a time that I could not comprehend. She lived through the Reagan Administration, her husband is a veteran of the Korean War, and we have a lot of things that we like to talk about.

The discussion shifted to natural resources, recycling, and the way that we abuse our natural resources, especially here in Wisconsin with the Deep Tunnel dilemma that we run into every summer. She started talking about recycling and conservation, and yeah, it was just a bit on the hippie side of things, but it's okay with me, she's not pushing global warming (which she is a complete convert of) or going green on me.

I, at this point, made an observation that I thought people may respect our natural resources if they had more respect for themselves and for the lives of other in general, and that being forced to learn the theory of evolution has a lot to do with people not having too much respect for anything. she was interested to hear more, and I explained that we're not informing children in America through our educational systems that Darwin's views are a THEORY, NOT A FACT and to this my co-worker said, "Well, I couldn't care less if I was descended from an ape really, I know God created all men and women, but I don't care if we are descended from apes anyways." and I was like hey man, that's cool that you think that way and I'm not going to try and change your mind, but I think that there needs to be equality in presentation when we're in a classroom setting, and that kids need to be able to make up their own minds.

I went just slightly further and mentioned that I thought it was unconstitutional that only Darwin's Theory be taught in classrooms across America, because it is taught in the style of a belief system. The theory being taught as fact violates the separation of church and state addressed within the First Amendment of the Constitution and then this other person who works with me, the man that sits next to me, interrupts our conversation and says, "Oh yeah! Like the separation of philosophies from the workplace! This isn't the right forum for this discussion on your philosophies. Not everyone thinks like you do. You can't talk like that here!!" and he just continued to get louder and more antagonistic.

I was appalled to say the least. I know that every single person in my department knows exactly where I stand politically, and exactly what I do. They also know that I would never bring the campaign to the office, that I won't talk about the candidates on campus, and that in general I really tread the line to make sure and certain that I don't offend anybody, because I know it's a very punishable offense.

However, I was not campaigning here, and I wasn't really saying anything all too offensive. What I was DISCUSSING with my co-worker was that I believe we should have equality in our educational system, and true diversity. That means that the THEORY of evolution will be taught alongside the THOERY of creationism. I don't really care what people choose to believe, but we have to infuse our institutions with more options for people to hear. What are these kids supposed to think when they go to Sunday School and hear about being divinely created, and then Monday through Friday are indoctrinated by liberalism and lies? They can either choose one or the other, or be apathetic and not really believe in anything. You can see examples of this in our culture every day.

I'm frustrated that I was censored by this co-worker. I'm disappointed that we can't have free speech in some places in this country. This man was completely rude in how he addressed us. He wasn't even civil, nor did he attempt to be. He was just flat out rude. Here I was discussing pretty neutral things, and he just gets all PC on me and tells me I'm out of line, I'm out of place, to shut up about it and not talk anymore. He was so rude and I just wanted to smart off to him so bad and tell him that "SEPARATION OF PHILOSOPHIES" that he was ragging on me about were nowhere in the constitution, but freedom of speech sure as hell is, and if he wants he can exercise his as well and join our discussion, but you had better not sit there and censor me and keep me from helping other people expand their viewpoints.

I have been censored at work by this man, and I am disgusted. Just flat out appalled. I looked immediately to see where the company keeps its speech guidelines, and I couldn't find them anywhere. I called the employee relations department (made sure I was in a room where the communist couldn't hear me or accuse me of being anything that ended in -ist... and I sat on the phone with some lady who couldn't find any clauses on free speech anywhere. The closest that we came was the company's Harassment Policy that states the following:

"Examples of prohibited harassment include, but are not limited to, racial or ethnic jokes, threats, offensive pictures and other conduct based on a person's protected characteristics. Any manager, supervisor or coworker who engages in such harassment or retaliates against an employee because the employee made a report of harassment or participated in an investigation of a claim of harassment is subject to immediate discipline, up to and including termination of employment."

That is where this lady directed me. I didn't make any racial slurs, I certainly was not threatening anyone, and I suppose I may have an offensive picture hanging in my cubie if you really want to go left-wing nutso on me (I have a couple YAF posters with conservative quotes on them, a picture of Ann, my CBLPI calendar, a copy of the Airman's Creed, and a picture of Ms. South Carolina with her Q&A on "The Iraq" underneath it) I also printed a news article on the USAF Drill Team performing at a school for kids with special needs, and I'm sure that could offend someone. Just about anything in my cube can offend someone. I'm sure I could get petty and make something up that offends me in his cube! Unfortunately, this is called censorship, and I don't have to look at it all day as he is not in line of sight of my cubie walls, nor am I in line of sight for his.

I could divulge all kinds of details about this person's unprofessional conduct, but I won't. I believe in as free a workplace as possible, and that includes freedom of speech and intelligent discussion.

After picking the employee relations contact's brain for a good 10-15 minutes on all the minute aspects of company policies, which she had nothing about free speech to offer me in regards to clearly drawn lines, she offered to set me up with a legal consultant to ask questions. I intend to take her up on her offer, but could not at the time as I wanted to read over the company's harassment policy and get a feeling for what she thought was the closest to any kind of policy that I may have violated with regards to my discussing EQUALITY with my co-worker.

PC-ism strikes again in the most radical of applications!!!

There will be a follow up article to this once I’ve spoken with a consultant.

CPAC

I must say that attending my first CPAC last week was one of the best trips that I have ever had.
Amongst the speakers were:

President George W. Bush

Vice President Dick Cheney

Mitt Romney

John McCain

Ron Paul

Mike Huckabee

Ann Coulter

Newt Gingrich

Paul Ryan

Robert Novak

Tony Snow

Tom Delay

Along with many others. The amount of media coverage and the extreme amount of people was unknown to me before I arrived at CPAC. Once I arrived however, I was blown away. There were thousands of people, just like me, fighting for the same beliefs and ideologies as me. Amongst the people that were like me were congressmen, senators, newscasters, authors, and many others.

I found it funny that I could walk around and find a congressmen just hanging out like he was an average person. I could walk right up to the congressmen and talk to him about anything. I must say, I've never felt this cool in my life. Haha.

My trip to CPAC ended on a good note. The closing speaker was Tony Snow. Mr. Snow closed CPAC by presenting the audience with nothing but joy, optimism, and hope. Mr. Snow, and all that he has done for the conservative movement was a great way to end my trip, and I hope to see him again at CPAC next year!

As for me, I am back in Milwaukee. Things are going well in Milwaukee, however, the day I got back from D.C., I found out that "Students for Hillary" were bringing in Chelsea Clinton, which kind of bummed me out. However, the joys and experiences that I had at CPAC outweighed anything that the liberals could throw at me.

Mark A. Zeihen Jr.

The religion of peace... exploiting women again

So the muslims have now taken a more direct and bold approach to suicide bombing... by strapping bombs to women who are retarded, allowing them to wander into crowded places, and then blowing them up.

I truly can't believe this. We reject the Bush administration's fear-based politics that justify violence, and instead calls for policies based on compassion, kindness and a commitment to international law. With an emphasis on joy and humor, CODEPINK women and men seek to activate, amplify and inspire a community of peacemakers through creative campaigns and a commitment to non-violence.

Well now that that is out of the way, onwards to fun!

First of all, this "women initiated grassroots peace and social justice movement" is nothing more than a bunch of over-zealous hippies. They are trying to establish that the best way (and probably the only way in their eyes) to establish peace is by practicing nonviolence. Their mission statement says that CODEPINK has an "emphasis on joy and humor." Instead as evidenced by the video above all they come off as is another group of Bush Haters and wants us to fail in our mission over seas.

What CODEPINK doesn't realize is that we are doing exactly what they are trying to accomplish. We are trying to bring peace and security to the middle east. The only difference is that the Bush Administration's "fear-based politics" realize that giving a terrorist a hug doesn't mean they wont take the chance to blow themselves up while you embrace them.

Ronald Regan held true to the ideal of "Peace through strength" It was this policy that won the cold war, and it will be this same policy that will bring peace to Iraq. We need to show strength in our actions overseas to show that we will not back down until we win. Terrorists and CODEPINK alike will either realize this or ultimately fail in their own missions

Re: Dear Allyson

Hi Stacey;

First of all, do not ever be afraid to ask me questions. I couldn't be more flattered that you are asking me for advice!! I'm here for anyone who needs my help. Without exception I am committed to never getting to big for my britches, and that includes answering questions about important things like peer pressure due to close-mindedness! ;)

First of all, I would say that since you bring up the book all about the Godlessness of liberals, I would leave God out of it completely.

Rule number one of debating liberals:

“There is no God.”

I’ve found that when debating liberals, I have to eat them from the inside out. I myself have to think like a liberal and a conservative at the same time. You have to know the answers to their questions, by knowing their questions and tactics before they even throw the hissy fit! The best part about being conservative is that our arguments are actually based on facts, and not emotions!! This means that in any and all arguments you can keep your cool and remember the simple thing that at the end of the day, you have indisputable facts backing you up. Sure, they may have good points from time to time, but that need not be grounds to sway you from your convictions. You don’t even have to bring God into it, because it’s like me debating you in Chinese; you wouldn’t know what the heck I was talking about, let alone come back at me with something intelligent. Speak their language, and tear them apart on their own grounds.

Rule number two:

“I am a cactus!”

Just because they own the media, leftists believe that they have a God-given (wait, did she just say —d?) right to control how everyone in America thinks on the issues. When conservatives stick to their guns and are capable of articulately voicing their opinions, based on the indisputable facts, our dear hippie friends like to throw temper tantrums and name-call (or as they like to put it, “expose them for the racist, sexist, homophobic, primitive, bigoted, religious zealots etc… that they are”)

Think to yourself, “I am a cactus; respected by many, repulsive to some.” Only an idiot can’t respect a cactus, or is dumb enough to mess with one. You don’t even see Steve-O pole vaulting cactuses. Usually, you pick a fight with a cactus, and a cactus wins! They’ve got sharp points, and plenty to go around. They’ve got strong spines, and have proved themselves throughout the course of time to be consistent when it comes to defense.

If someone’s dumb enough to mess with a cactus, they’re either going to get what they deserve, or just get bored by how boring cacti really are, and go away! Push through this and remember that you’re a cactus, and the attacks will die off eventually. You will be able to bore them out of their minds, and not taking that book off your facebook wall proves that you mean business, and that you can stick to your ground!

I haven’t seen many people push, kick, or uproot cacti in my time. It’s a pain to do!

You are a cactus! If you don’t like it, tough deal! (remember that they’re usually pretty soft at heart!)

Rule Number Three:

“Just like all toddlers, eventually they’ll pass out from all that red-faced screaming.”

Infantile and unhinged. It’s like two standards for lefty sparring. Call names, throw things, break things, hit people, and in general just make a big raucous mess. In the end, they haven’t proved anything, they’ve just irritated people. This usually triggers apathy, or a desire by those they are ranting against to be even stronger in their convictions, just to spite the whiny tot!

I find that in these times, when I’ve got libbys screaming in my face, I merely turn to someone close to me when they’re finished, give a sigh of relief that they’ve finally “passed out”, and sympathetically shake my head, once again articulating my views in the face of all their name-calling and irrelevant argument.

Classic example here:

Wednesday night I was at school, and a bunch of SDS kids were out protesting a military recruitment table. When the young lad with nauseating breath began to lecture me on his time in the third world countries like Venezuela, Chile, and Mexico, I waited patiently until he was finished, thanked God that his mouth was closed and that he wasn’t going to spread the spirit of halitosis to the rest of the room anymore, and calmly answered his criticisms of my not having been to those countries, or working in their slums for progress.

I simply said that perhaps why he’s so upset at the United States is that he’s doing nothing to solve the problems here at home by going and working in other countries. The reason that I don’t go out of country to help their slums and ghettos is because I don’t have to go more than 10 minutes off of my campus to find them here in the United States. For one who has such a problem with “occupation” and “acting as the world police” I asked him why he was such a supporter of Bush’s ideologies of occupying other countries to help them for the good. By exporting his volunteer hours to other countries, and occupying them to make their communities more livable, he’s doing precisely what our US Armed Forces are doing in Iraq, except without the firepower.

You have to put your own house in order before you can criticize anyone elses.

The young lad was stunned at my analysis of the situation, clearly, because all he could stutter was, “What?!”

Do not reply. He heard you perfectly, he’s just trying to incite and irritate you.

Rule number four:

“You won’t convince him otherwise!”

Why teach a pig to sing?! It annoys the pig, and wastes your time! If you actually try to intelligently convince this uneducated media pawn that he is wrong, you can spend hours on end achieving absolutely nothing. State your points articulately and in a constructive fashion, and leave it at that. Plant the seeds, a garden will not grow overnight. Sometimes, you have bad ground, and the seeds don’t even grow. How commendable of you to try, but you don’t always win, so don’t waste your time!

If he’s really interested in change, he will pursue it and attend one of your conservative group’s events. You may want to mention one if you know of one that is relevant and occurring in the near future.

Also, keep in mind that it's very embarassing to have everything you ever believed refuted on the spot. Even if you have converted the hippie on the spot with your courteous and well composed arguments, that poor, humiliated lefty will never admit it.

Rule number five:

“There are no intelligent life forms on other planets, and that includes the ones that lefties live on.”

The liberal doctrine of “tolerance” is crammed down our throats all the time; if you don’t like homosexuality, you’re a homophobe etc. Liberals are always the first to advocate tolerance, but the first to sneer ignorance on the part of conservatives when they want to discuss why they believe what they do.

Hippies live on a different planet. It’s one with no rules, everyone is and underprivileged minority that deserves a subsidy, and that if you think outside the box, you are an infidel, and should be exposed for the horrible person that you are!

Remember, there is no such thing as an intelligent being on another planet, and that includes the planet hippies live on… their version of planet earth.

In short, stick your ground using secular arguments, and keep to the five rules.

At the end of the day, you’ll laugh to yourself, because they really are that entertaining, and really easy to come by on college campuses as well!

Hope this helps!!

Dear Allyson...

Hey Allyson,

How ya doin? So if you have the time, I'd like to ask for some advice or wit or something! I guess I'm just not on my toes. My family has always been Democrat therefore, I was always democrat - and it's only been recent that I've found my voice concerning conservative ideals and finding that my morals line up completely with them. Go figure.

Okay so here’s my issue:

A lot the people I hang out with are not conservative. My campus is so F-ing liberal! Any who… so I’ve just recently added Ann Coulter’s Godless on my favorite books thing on my facebook wall. All of a sudden, people who I haven’t spoken to in years start to give me grief about it! Is there a diplomatic way for "defending" my interest in reading it? I don’t want to come off as a heinous bitch who is trying to throw the argument of God around as a weapon.

I just feel that I’m not tactful enough for argumentation. I’m starting to hear Bay Buchanan’s voice in my head. Hahaha… what do you think? What do you usually do in this type of situation?

…I’m really sorry if I’m bugging you big time.

Bring on the Treasonists!

So I sent out a press release to area media this morning, and the MJS is the only group that picked it up as far as I know, but here is the article that Erica Perez wrote , followed by the text of the press release that went out to 620, 1130, and the MJS this morning.

**FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE**

STUDENTS COUNTER DISPLAYS OF ANTI-PATRIOTISM

Members of the Conservative Women’s Movement, Panthers for a Better Tomorrow, and other Conservative Union groups showed up on Wednesday, January 23, 2008 after learning of an anti-military protest occurring on campus.

Members of Students for a Democratic Society and other leftist organizations showed up at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee’s Klotsche Center, to protest the presence of United States Marine Corps Recruiters.

President of the Conservative Union, AJ Piwarun, had gone to the Klotsche Center to work out, and ran across the protesters. All I could think was, "Wow, this movie really speaks the truth of the war on terror" It portrayed the terrorist as what they are, ruthless killers who don't even care for their own lives when there is a chance of killing "infidels" . Killing innocent men, women and children to fight a war of Jihad is despicable.

This movie is right up there with Flight 93 and World Trade Center. Hollywood should be making more movies such as this instead of wasting their time trying to discredit our troops and our war effort.
